Burnie Arts Council Inc (BAC) is the original branch of Tasmanian Regional Arts.

Burnie Arts Council’s mission is to activate, incubate, connect, and advocate for arts and artists in our region.

In 2023 we celebrated 75 years of continuous operation. During that time we have actively raised the profile of Burnie as an arts and cultural centre. We view art and community as inextricably linked, and aim to foster that connection wherever possible.

Burnie Arts Council acknowledges that every part of Australia is, always was and always will be, Aboriginal land. We pay our respect to the original owners and custodians of the pataway land where we meet, create and share.
