Burnie Arts Council Inc (BAC) is the original branch of Tasmanian Regional Arts.

Burnie Arts Council’s mission is to activate, incubate, connect, and advocate for arts and artists in our region.

This year we celebrate 75 years of continuous operation. During that time we have actively raised the profile of Burnie as an arts and cultural centre. Our region has a future bright with possibilities. We see arts and community at its centre.

NEWS: At our AGM the following office bearers were elected: President, Lyndal Thorne. Vice President, Cynthia Hawkins. Treasurer, Heather Wild. Secretary, Tara Palmer.

NEWS: Huge thanks to retiring Vice President Lynne Price and Secretary Pamela Thorne. Lynne has been sequential President (with a few breaks) going back to the year 2000. Pam has been Secretary for approx 14 years. Both are octogenarians who have maintained their duties at full capacity throughout their respective tenures and will continue to be active members of the group.

AGM notice: Burnie Arts Council will hold its AGM on Sunday 25th Feb, 2 pm at the Burnie Coastal Art Gallery, 211 Mount St Upper Burnie. All welcome.
